Introducing the GIMZO 808D MK2 - a complete redesign of our flagship GB1 'belt gizmo' kit that brings the greatest level of dimensional accuracy ever seen in a Sanyo ICC-808D replica. This is the closest you will get to owning the real-deal!
For the first time, we have been granted access to an incredibly rare and fully working Sanyo ICC-808D calculator from the early 1970s - the precise model and layout as those used by the hero prop makers on the original Ghostbusters movie. Using this incredible new reference, we have created an exhaustive list of precise measurements and high-resolution scans of every part of the board and its components.
The MK2 features a host of improvements and refinements that make this the best and most detailed gizmo kit ever created...
- Overall dimensions are now 1:1 scale with the genuine Sanyo ICC-808D
- Brand new brown/green main board design with additional detailing
- Redesigned and resized replica vintage components for better accuracy
- New Sanyo text markings and stickers created from hi-res scans of real Sanyo components
- Improved error box design with brand new acetate printed 'E' screen
- New black powder coated aluminium 'nixie shelf' (no need for additional painting)
- Revised GB1 daughterboard design featuring a new style alligator clip
- Lighting colour presets replaced with new 'custom colour' mode - display any colour of your choice from the full spectrum
- New 'PKE' lighting pattern
- Rear mounting holes to attach the board securely to the EctoLabs GB1 Gizmo Holster
Plus, all the great features from our previous GIZMO 808D kit:
- Fully functional factory manufactured circuitboards
- Eight vintage Soviet-era glass display tubes
- Real electronic components
- Tube lighting effects with switchable patterns and adjustable colours
- Fully illustrated assembly guide and user manual
- Optional screen-accurate leather holster to add to your order
Basic soldering is required for the lighting effects to work, but all other components are purely cosmetic and may be glued to the board if preferred (although not recommended). 1x 9V battery (not included) is required to power the lighting effects.
