Introducing the GIMZO 808D MK2 - a complete redesign of our flagship GB1 'belt gizmo' kit that brings the greatest level of dimensional accuracy ever seen in a Sanyo ICC-808D replica. This is the closest you will get to owning the real-deal!

For the first time, we have been granted access to an incredibly rare and fully working Sanyo ICC-808D calculator from the early 1970s - the precise model and layout as those used by the hero prop makers on the original Ghostbusters movie. Using this incredible new reference, we have created an exhaustive list of precise measurements and high-resolution scans of every part of the board and its components.

The MK2 features a host of improvements and refinements that make this the best and most detailed gizmo kit ever created...

Basic soldering is required for the lighting effects to work, but all other components are purely cosmetic and may be glued to the board if preferred (although not recommended). 1x 9V battery (not included) is required to power the lighting effects.

The devil's in the details.

Due to the many advances in circuit board manufacturing since the 1970s, it is a highly difficult task to make a gizmo board that is fully 'screen-accurate', however we believe that the GIZMO 808D MK2 is truly dimensionally accurate in every way.

We have gone to painstaking lengths to document the measurements and fine details of the real Sanyo calculator board allowing us to include a complete set of fully finished replica components based directy on those no longer in production. Each of these are hand set with upgraded numbering and branded markings using graphics crated from hi-res scans and photographs. The alumininum 'nixie shelf' is now a direct replica and comes powder-coated in black so there is no longer any need for additional painting during assembly.

Light 'em up!

Also included in the kit is a set of eight glass soviet-era VFD tubes sourced from Ukraine - a good visual replacement for the rare GDT Nixie tubes used by Sanyo. These are augmented with nine super bright multicolor LEDs - connect a 9V battery to the included power cable and use the buttons on the top of the board to select from 11 pre-programmed effects patterns. You can also easily switch colours and, new to the GIZMO 808D MK2, use the 'custom colour' mode to choose any colour from the spectrum and save it to memory.
