The GIZMO 8920 is the latest version of our Ghostbusters 2 style belt gizmo. This idealised kit retains the overall look of the previous version but now shares the brand new electronics also featured on our GIZMO 808D kit. The old plastic control panel has now been replaced by a beautiful metal display shelf, crafted from a single piece of aluminium. This sits above a selection of functional components that power the adjustable lighting effects - all designed as a nod to the look of the Sanyo circuitry from the original screen-used gizmo props.

Unlike our GIZMO 808D kit, which is a replica of a real-world Sanyo calculator circuitboard, the 8920 takes its cues from reference photos of the Venkman 'stunt board'. These stunt boards were never intended to be seen up close and, as a result, were roughly constructed from rubber, foam and leather. Our kits, however, are designed to look amazing as the centerpiece of your GB2 uniform. Pair the Gizmo with a leather holster and attach the daughterboard to your belt using the heavy duty 50mm steel belt clip.

As well as a real circuitboard, this kit includes an array of components, a full set of vintage glass display tubes and a detachable daughterboard. Plus, additional LEDs mounted to the bottom of the board are fully lit and integrated with the main lighting display!

Whilst we recommend using a soldering iron to assemble the kit, a 'non-solder' option is available for those unable to do so. In this case, all the working electronics needed for the lighting effects will come pre-assembled, leaving all other non-functioning components to be attached using a glue gun.

Upgrades across the board.

The GIZMO 8920 includes big improvements over our previous GB2 style gizmo kit. Various 3D printed elements have been replaced and upgraded - including the custom made 'nixie shelf' which is now crafted from a single piece of lightweight aluminium which can easily be painted or left as it is depending on your preference. We also now include an integrated 9V battery holder mounted directly on the board, eliminating the need to an awkward trailing battery cable.

Light 'em up!

Also included in the kit is a set of eight glass soviet-era VFD tubes sourced from Ukraine - exactly the same as those used on our GB1 and Afterlife kits. These are augmented with nine super bright multicolor LEDs - insert a 9V battery into the on-board holder and you can adjust the pre-programmed light patterns and colours with a quick flick of the integrated toggle switch and buttons on the top of the unit.

Complete your kit with a screen-accurate leather holster — designed to fit your Gizmo like a glove! Available in GB1 and GB2 styles, these holsters are made from heavyweight veg-tan leather and set with brass snaps and rivets.
