Transform your HASLAB Ghost Trap into a fully-fledged prop replica with the TrapFX (H) replacement electronics kit - the ultimate Two In The Box mod!

TrapFX adds accurate capture sequences based on scenes from the first two Ghostbusters movies along with a range of high quality sound effects and customisable lighting animations. Also included in the kit is a custom designed 30-segment bargraph that replicates the look of the original props.

The voice guided settings mode allows you to choose from a range of presets for the behaviour of the chamber lights, bargraph and capture sequences. Unlike the stock system, TrapFX has on-board memory which remembers your preferences so you no longer need to make adjustments everytime you fire up your trap.

As well as these new features, existing Haslab modes have been carried over and improved - including individual ghost sound effects (with a proper 'No Ghost' mode), Spooky Mode, Service Mode, enhanced rumble effects, side rod functionality and smart hidden button functions. We have even added an integrated IR receiver so your Ghost Trap will react to your Haslab PKE meter just like before!

What's more, TrapFX is expandable with the ability to connect up to 8x multicolour NeoPixel LEDs (not included) for amazing super bright light effects. A second connector allows the direct control of a smoke kit with 5V relay, avoiding the need for a wireless transmitter. This opens the possibility to create your own custom smoke and lighting system. Plus, upgrade to a 4 or 8 ohm speaker for louder, beefier sound.

Better yet, each board is 100% plug and play which means no soldering or electronics experience is required. We have designed each circuit board to be a 1:1 drop-in replacement for the stock boards pre-installed by Hasbro, so it's simply a matter of unplugging the various components and re-connecting them to the new ones.

IMPORTANT: You will need 4x 1.5V AA Lithium batteries to power TrapFX (single use or rechargable type). Please note that standard alkaline batteries will not provide enough consistent power to keep your Ghost Trap running reliably.

Busting in full colour

The cartridge board includes a 3-wire screw terminal which can be used to connect a chain of up to 8 multicolour NeoPixel LEDs (not included).

Enter the Settings Mode to choose how they will appear during ghost capture, and turn the the rotary dial to select any color of the spectrum! Connected NeoPixels work independently of the trap's built-in LEDs, opening the possibilities for hundreds of different color/animation combinations. What's more, by using Cool White RGBW NeoPixels you can unlock a 'superwhite' mode for dazzlingly bright "don't look directly into the trap" moments!

Smoke without the remote

A second 3-wire screw terminal is included for connecting a relay based smoke kit to the TrapFX (H) system. Smoke effects are triggered by the cartridge board directly and synched to the capture sequences, so there is no longer any need for a wireless transmitter. These smoke triggers can be set to run before capture, after capture, or manually using the hidden button on the trap's handle.

Please note that this functionally requires your smoker to be connected to a 5V relay instead of a wireless receiver. We will be speaking with makers of popular smoke kits about providing compatible products and add-ons.

Dumb button to smart button

PackFX (H) corrects a much complained about problem with the Haslab Ghost Trap. We have disabled single click activation of the hidden button on the handle, which means accidental door activation is no longer an issue.

Additionally, the hidden button now adapts to the mode you are in. A double-press will mimic a pedal press when the trap is active, or Service Mode when in an idle state. A triple-press now enters Settings Mode. You can even hold down the button as you are carrying the trap to trigger your smoke kit for ghostly vapour effects while the doors are closed!
