CATHMAX is our name for EctoLabs' Leg Hose and Connector accessory for flight suits. This third generation set has been completely redesigned for better accuracy and durability - all whilst retaining our unique quick release magnetic system featured in previous versions.
The connectors have been remodelled and are now individually hand cast in durable polyurethane rubber - a massive upgrade from our previous rigid plastic connectors. Each one has been coloured using a custom pigmentation formula, which can change slightly in appearance under different lighting conditions - just like the screen-used originals. The connectors also feature a brand new hollow design so they are not only flexible, but extremely lightweight too!
The accompanying 3.7 ft (115cm) hose is available in either Yellow (GB1 style) or Clear (GB2 style) and features a strong magnet on one end which attracts to a metal disc embedded in the connector backplate sewn to the inside of your flight suit. This prevents damage and rips to your suit by taking the strain away from the connector itself and releasing completely in the event of an accidental snag.
The other end of the hose now features an improved inner plug that can be attached directly to the eyelets in your pistol belt for a screen-accurate look that does not require the use of an extraneous fob or clip. This now uses two high-strength bolts, doing away with our previous 3D printed peg and split ring that was susceptible to breakages.
Each CATHMAX 3 set includes 1x rubber connector, 1x magnetic leg hose (yellow or clear), 1x connector backplate (with steel disc) and 1x removable cable tie.
Please note: due to the repositioning of the magnet and steel disc, hoses from CATHMAX 1 and 2 sets are NOT compatible with the magnetic functions of the CATHMAX 3 connector.
